Document Your World with Markdown
Markdown is a simple system for adding formatting information to plain text documents — easy to read and easy to write, which is why many projects use it as their formatting language of choice. Despite its simplicity, tools like pandoc can convert Markdown into a surprising range of other formats, including Word documents, HTML web pages, slide presentations, and ePub books. This talk explains why Markdown is useful, demonstrates it in action, and covers converting Markdown to several of these formats along with some helpful tools for working with Markdown text.
