New Technology for Bible Understanding and Translation

This talk surveys several strands of technology supporting Bible understanding and translation, drawing on work at both Logos Bible Software and Clear Bible. It covers biblical places data and the Logos Atlas, including the challenges of representing changing historical geography; MACULA, a rich linguistic dataset providing Hebrew and Greek morphology, syntax, and semantics mapped across languages; ongoing work on Bible alignment; and other emerging activities in the Bible translation community, including AI-assisted quality assessment tools.
